My life is rapidly, but I already knew that. It's a different kind of change. As of the last few weeks. I don't trust the internet with my secrets, but it will suffice me to say that I like where this is going and I hope it keeps heading that way.
I'm about to graduate from college in a little over a week. Then it's off to some hardcore job hunting. I hope I can work an 8 to 5, Monday through Friday, 40 hour work week. I'll have a Bachelor's degree, so I don't think that's too much to ask. The first thing on my agenda when I get a job is to rid myself of every ounce of debt. Then, I want to save. After that? I really don't know. That will probably take me a little while, so that gives me time to see where my life is headed.
All in all, life is good right now even though it's chock full of uncertainty.

Be the Kind of Person You Want to End Up With

Want someone who takes care of themselves? Take care of yourself. Want someone who is kind? Be kind. Want someone who is educated? Be educated. Want someone who loves God? Love God. Want him to treat you like a lady? Act like a lady and treat him like a gentleman.
By cultivating those attributes within yourself, you’re more likely to attract people with similarities in those respects. You and your love should compliment each other, yes, but the term “opposites attract” is so misleading when it comes to love and often it is simply not true. If you want something from someone else, be willing to give what you’re asking for.
Be the kind of person you want to end up with. The side effect? You will begin to love and respect yourself more. That will give you confidence, which will in turn make you even more attractive.
This is my personal perspective, anyway. Not a doctor, therapist, etc.

All I want in a man is a worthy priesthood holder who takes the standards of the church seriously.

In my book, that means:

Don’t watch R-rated movies, TV shows that are the equivalent of R-rated, or play video games that are the equivalent of R-rated (please no shooter games, ugh); in fact, please stay away from distasteful PG-13 things as well. Don’t listen to vulgar music. Don’t swear. Keep the word of wisdom. Respect and keep the law of chastity. Respect women. Honor your priesthood and your role as a priesthood holder. Be honest. Love the Gospel.

I’m not asking a man to keep any standards that I won’t keep, and I’d rather be alone than settle.

I want someone who is willing to be the provider in the family, someone who understands my desire to be a stay-at-home mom. I'm not asking for him to speak a second language, sing well, play the piano, be rich or anything else outlandish, just for someone who is always wanting to learn and grow. I'm not asking for perfection.

I'll find that love someday, I know I will, I just have to be patient.

Tonight Should Be Fun!

So there's a Halloween YSA dance tonight, and I'm excited! We're supposed to go in costume and I've been second-guessing what to wear. (I was originally going to wear my Salwar Kameez...) I would actually love to go as a humanized pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. I would either choose Fluttershy (the yellow one) or Pinkie Pie (this should be obvious) because I could easily put together ensembles for it. It wouldn't be obvious what my costume was unless someone was a huge fan of the show, but that's okay. I don't have a pink wig (in either shade), so I'd just have to style my hair and hope for the best. I'm really leaning towards Fluttershy because I have more clothing that would suit Fluttershy, I'm a lot better at doing Fluttershy's voice instead of Pinkie's, and I would have to do some fierce styling to pull off Pinkie Pie hair.
Nope, going as PINKIE!

Let's Give This a Shot

I've never been much of the blogging type, it's always seemed a bit narcissistic. But, if nothing else, I can use this as a tool to vent when I've got no one to talk to or to chronicle important things.
